Phonics

Our school is proud to use the Read, Write Inc phonics programme.

We implemeted this in 2015 and our results have consistently been significantly above the national and local percentages with a 95% pass rate in 2023. 

Read Write Inc. Programmes - developed by Ruth Miskin - provides a whole-school approach to teaching literacy for 4 - 11-year-olds to create fluent readers, confident speakers and willing writers.

Each member of staff is trained by Ruth Miskin Training (rated outstanding by Ofsted) to ensure consistent practice across the whole-school.
