We have had a very busy week in Year 1

This week:

Maths – We are looked at fact families and compared number sentences using the inequality symbol.

English – Used the suffix 'ed' and the conjunction 'because' to describe the Snipe.

Chinese New Year - We celebrated Chinese New Year through a variety of craft, dancing and stories.

Safer Internet Day - We know now how to stay safe on the Internet. We created our own internet. 

 Next week:

Maths – Place value of numbers up to 50 and finding one more and one less.

English -  Our weekly focus words are: where, who, why

Using a conjunction to join sentences

Science - Exploring suitable materials for a Polar Explorer.

Art - Using a variety of skills to join materials

Please practise Week 5 spellings in the homework book and continue logging on to Mathletics.
