Weekly Y4 blog 30.11.18

Another great week in Year 4!

In Maths we have been learning all about length and perimeter. The children have all worked really hard. We challenged the children to find the missing lengths in lots of different rectangles, their reasoning skills are constantly improving! Well done to all. :-)

In Geography, our Atlas skills were put to the test! The children really enjoyed leaving clues for eachother to find certain countries or capital cities. Pictures of these activities are on our Twitter feed, @DovedaleY4. The children should now be confident with the continents of the world and their homework this week is to choose a continent and find three interesting facts about it.

In Science, we started our new topic of 'Living Things.' The children came up with their own definitions of what makes something dead or alive. They then worked in their groups to think of headings to sort out various living things. Have a look on our Twitter for pictures! Over the next few Science lessons, the children will become more familiar with our new vocabulary for this topic. Ask your child what they have been learning in Science! :-)
