Year Two Weekly Blog, 8th March
Date: 10th Mar 2019 @ 10:42am
We've had such a fun and exciting week in Year two. You wouldn't believe what those naughty dragons have done this week! They have caused havoc in our classrooms by messing everything up and they've caused so much trouble that we had to write a letter to Mr Smith asking for his help. Luckily, we have found out how to care for and train baby dragons so hopefully we can get them under control soon! In maths we have continued looking at fractions of shapes, objects and amounts with a particular focus on equivalent fractions. We have continued our science topic about living things and their habitats and begun learning about how living things are adapted to survive in their habitat. We had a fantastic day on Thursday for World Book Day and all the children had made so much effort with their costumes. The children rotated around the four classes and enjoyed different activities all linked to the book The Day The Crayons Quit.
Next week we will all enjoy visits to Allerton Library amongst continuing with our English text The Dragon Machine, our maths topic on fractions and in science we will explore micro habitats.
