Year Two Weekly Blog, 7th December

What a great week we've all had this week. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and we are very proud of how well the children behaved. Remember your handmade soap needs five days to dry out before you can use it! The children have also enjoyed learning about money in their maths lessons and continuing with the story of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in English.

Next week we will begin our first Design and Technology week where all children will design, make and evaluate their own Christmas hand puppet. We will need to explore existing products at the start of the week so would be very grateful to borrow any hand puppets the children may have at home. We will, of course, ensure all puppets are returned to you. Please bring these into school on Monday. Children will also need to bring into school their houses that they have hopefully been busy making at home ready for our recreation of the Great Fire of London on  Monday (weather permitting).
