Year 5 blog. Week beginning 5-11-18

This week in Year 5, we have been working extremely hard and enjoying the following activities: -

• Maths – Subtraction including missing boxes.
• English – Work linked to The Wizard of Oz. 
• Geography – How Liverpool has changed.
• Art – Poppies and why we have Remembrance Sunday 
• P.E - Basketball
• Science – Changes that happen to humans as they develop.

Again, another amazing week we have had. We were extremely impressed with the children’s work, especially their work looking at the 100^th anniversary of the end of World War 1. The children had some fun with our science this week, looking at each other’s baby photos.

We cannot wait until next week where we will be enjoying the following lessons:

• Maths – Estimation and approximation.
• English – Work linked to The Wizard of Oz.  
• PHSE – Work linked to Anti-bullying week.
• Art - Work linked to Peter Thorpe.
• P.E – Basketball
• Music and ICT
