Year 5 blog - week ending 11th January

This week in Year 5, we have been working extremely hard and enjoying the following activities: -
- Maths – Perimeter of rectangles and compound shapes.
- English – Recounts – The Mystery of The Missing Computer.
- History – Why did The Vikings come to Britain?
- Science – Forces. What makes an object fall to Earth?
- P.E – Invasion games
- Jigsaw – What do I want to be when I grow up?
- Swimming – Developing confidence and water skills
- Music and ICT
Happy New Year from everyone in Year 5!
Again, another amazing week we have had. We were extremely impressed with the children’s work. We are so glad that the mystery was solved about the missing computer. It was all a misunderstanding.
We cannot wait until next week where we will be enjoying the following lessons:
- Maths – Area of rectangles and compound shapes.
- English – Recounts – Biographiy of John Lennon.
- History – Timeline
- Science – Forces. Understanding what makes things move.
- P.E – Invasion games
- Jigsaw – Dreams and goals. Looking at jobs.
- Swimming – Developing confidence and water skills
- Music and ICT
