Year 5 blog - week beginning 12-11-18

This week in Year 5, we have been working extremely hard and enjoying the following activities: -

• Maths – Estimation and approximation.
• English – Work linked to The Wizard of Oz.  
• PHSE – Work linked to Anti-bullying week.
• Art - Work linked to Peter Thorpe.
• P.E – Basketball
• Music and ICT

Again, another amazing week we have had. We were extremely impressed with the children’s work, especially their ‘RESPECT’ posters. The children had some fun with this year’s Children In Need. Loving the hair styles! Poor Mr Mc!!!

We cannot wait until next week where we will be enjoying the following lessons:

• Maths – Scales, intervals and line graphs.
• English – Free verse poetry.  
• French – Looking at music.
• Art - Work linked to Peter Thorpe.
• P.E – Basketball
• Music and ICT
• Science – gestation period of animals.
• Geography – The effect the Blitz had on Coventry.

Please ensure that you listen to your child read at least 3 times a week.

Please make sure that your child brings in their reading book and record card every day.
