This week in Year 3, we have been working extremely hard and enjoying the following activities:
- Maths – Division using the formal written method to solve a range of complex problems.
- English – This has been our last week on Theseus and the Minotaur. The writing children have produced has been truly outstanding! This week children have written a diary entry from the perspective of Ariadne.
- History – We have focused on the features of a Bronze Age round house.
- Science – Plants – How are seeds dispersed? Check out our Twitter feed to see the interesting experiment children took part during this lesson.
- P.E – Dance
- Music, PSHE and French
Next week in Year 3, we shall be enjoying the following activities:
- Maths - Next week we shall move onto money. During this unit, we will focus on the following objectives:
- Converting pounds and pence
- Adding money
- Subtracting money
- Giving change
- Using money in practical contexts
- English – We shall focus on cross-curricular History writing during our English lessons. We shall be writing a diary entry from the perspective of a Bronze Age child who has to go down the mine for the very first time.
- History – We shall be focusing on Bronze Age burial rituals.
- Science – Children shall be taking part in an end of unit quiz to see if they can apply what they have learnt throughout out plant topic to a range of challenges.
- P.E – Dance
- Music, Computing and French
