This week in Year 3, we have been working extremely hard and enjoying the following activities:

• Maths - Investigating horizontal, vertical, parallel and perpendicular lines
• English – Alternative fairy tales – The True Story of the Three Little Pigs
• History – Ancient Egyptian Gods
• Science  - Animals including Humans investigation

• Music, Computing and French
• P.E.
• Reading – Performance pottery - Down Behind the Dustbin by Michael Rosen
• Spelling – Dictionary work

Next week, we shall be enjoying the following activities:

• Maths  - Describing turns and angles, classifying shapes based on their properties, comparing angles within shapes and drawing shapes accurately
• English – We shall continue our work on alternative fairy tales and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. Next week, we shall write a statement from the perspective of the wolf regarding his versions of events.
• Geography – Locating some of the world’s climate zones on a globe
• Science – Human body investigation
• Spelling – Homophones
• Reading – Performance pottery - Down Behind the Dustbin by Michael Rosen
• Music, Computing and French
• P.E.
