This week in Year 3, we have been working extremely hard and enjoying the following activities:
- Maths:
Reading time to the nearest 1 minute past and to the hour
Converting analogue time into 24 hour digital time
Working out time duration in a range of challenging problems
- English – We have finished our cross-curricular writing today and we are extremely pleased with the writing children have produced! We have been writing a newspaper report about the discovery of King Tutankhamun tomb.
- History – The mummification process
- Science – Functions of the skeleton
- Music, Computing and French
- P.E. – Striking and fielding
- R.E – The 5 Ks of Sikhism
Next week, we shall be enjoying the following activities:
- Maths:
Converting minutes into seconds and seconds into minutes
A range of minutes and seconds problems
Maths investigations involving minutes and seconds
- History – The Ancient Egyptian Gods
- Art – Next week, we shall focus on the artist Piet Mondrian. We shall evaluate a range of his art and then teach children the skills needed in order to create a piece of artwork in the style of Piet Mondrian.
- Music, Computing and French
- P.E. – Striking and fielding
- R.E – How do Sikhs worship God
