This week in Year 3, we have been working extremely hard and enjoying the following activities:
- Maths:
- Converting analogue time into 12 hour digital
- Reading time to the nearest 1 minute past the hour
- Reading time to the nearest 1 minute to the hour
- A range of problems around reading the time to the nearest minute
- English – We have finished our instructions topic where children have written a set of instructions to make an ‘interesting’ smoothie.
- Geography – Drawing floor plans and maps
- Science – Animals including Humans – What do we need to stay healthy?
- Music, Computing and French
- P.E. – Striking and fielding
Next week, we shall be enjoying the following activities:
- Maths:
- Arithmetic Test
- Reading time to the nearest 1 minute to the hour
- Converting analogue time into 24 hour digital time
- English – For the next two week, we shall be focusing on cross-curricular writing. We shall be writing a newspaper report about the discovery of King Tutankhamun tomb.
- History – Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics
- Science – Functions of the skeleton
- Music, Computing and French
- P.E. – Striking and fielding
- R.E – The 5 Ks of Sikhism
