Weekly Y1 Blog 5th October 2018

This week we have been learning:

Maths - Number bonds to 10. We ordered them systematically.

English - We have been adding the suffix 'est'. 

We looked at the story 'The Smartest Giant in Town' 

History - We have been playing comparing old and new toys. 

Art - We worked with a Photographer to manipulate self portraits in the style of Andy Warhol.

In addition to this we have been continuing to count forwards and backwards in multiples of 5.  We will continue to practise this.

After half term we will be:

Maths – We are adding two numbers, finding  number bonds to 10 and using our knowledge of number bonds to find missing numbers.

English - We will be creating story maps using Talk 4 Writing 

Science - We will welcome the farm into school  

History - We will be writing the differences and similarities between old and new toys.
