Four years, three of these at Dovedale.

 

 

  1. What do you like/dislike about teaching?

I like doing Art with the children and I like the children! I don’t like all of the marking!

 

 

 

  1. How was your first day of teaching at Dovedale?

I was nervous but I enjoyed it.

 

  1. Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you want to be?

Not always, I wanted to be an artist.

 

 

  1. Which subject do you find hardest to teach?

ICT.

All of the Year 1 team and Miss McAllistar.

 

 

  1. What did you study at university and where?

Primary Education and Liverpool John Moores University.

 

 

  1. What are your hobbies outside of school?

Socialising with friends, walking my dog (Honey) and watching drama series on TV.

 

 

  1. What is your strangest habit?

I don’t like it when things are not stuck in properly so I do them again.

I don’t like milk.

1 year and 3 months all at Dovedale.

 

  1. What do you like/dislike about teaching?

 

I like working with the children and I don’t like planning and marking.

 

  1. How was your first day of teaching at Dovedale?

It was scary because I did not know anyone but the children were really good.

 

  1. Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you want to be?

I wanted to be a dentist but I changed my mind when I was 17.

 

 

  1. Which subject do you find hardest to teach?

I find ICT hard.

All of the year 1 teachers.

I studied primary teaching in Manchester.

Walking the dog and playing the piano.

I like to have a messy room so I can find everything.

I play the piano and I can speak a bit of German.

I like working with the children and dislike the long hours.

I was excited to make new friends.

I wanted to be a newsreader.

I find teaching the children the little things in maths hard.

Over  4 years.

 

 

 

  1. What do you like/dislike about teaching P.E?

I love working with the children.

 

 

 

  1. What inspired you to become a P.E teacher?

In primary school I realised I had a talent for P.E. I was also inspired by my college teacher.

 

 

 

  1. What is your favourite sport to teach in P.E?

Athletics, because I can record the results.

I did and I was the 3rd fastest runner in Merseyside.

Mr Powell is one of my closest friends.

8 years all of it in Reception and in Dovedale.

 

 

  1. What do you like/dislike about teaching?

I like watching kids discover things for the first time and dislike going out in the cold!

 

 

  1. How was your first day of teaching at Dovedale?

It was great, Mrs Smith looked after me.

 

  1. Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you want to be?

Geography.

I like watching kids discover things for the first time and dislike waking up early and getting out of bed!

Great, lovely.

8 years

 

  1. What do you like/dislike about teaching?

 

I like the kids; I dislike going out when it rains.

 

  1. How was your first day of teaching at Dovedale?

It was scary, but I loved the kids.

 

  1. Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you want to be?

I first wanted to be a vet. But then I decided that I would prefer to be a teacher.

 

 

  1. Which subject do you find hardest to teach?

 

Maths  because the children hardly know much about the subject.

 

  1. Which members of staff are you friends with outside of school?

 

All of them: Mrs Dwan, Mrs Bore and Mr Jones.

 

  1. What did you study at university and where?

 

I studied theology, R.E. and educational studies at Hope university.

And I also did a PGCE.

Being a mum, reading, shopping and going to the cinema.

I have to eat one of each coloured skittle at once.

I am very frightened of parents.
