Year Two Weekly Blog, 14th September 2018

Date: 14th Sep 2018 @ 4:55pm

It's been an extremely busy week in Year Two as the children settle into their new routines.

This week we have been reading the book "The Day the Crayons Quit" by Oliver Jeffers and writing letters to Duncan from different crayons. We have been exploring the place value of each digit in two and three different numbers and representing this in different ways using a range of equipment. We have started our geography topic which is all about our city, Liverpool and have begun learning about the properties and uses of different materials in science.

Next week something surprising may occur in each class which we hope will inspire some wonderful writing opportunities! We will also continue our place value work in maths but progress to recording this as an addition statement.
