Year 5 blog - week ending 30th November

This week in Year 5, we have been working extremely hard and enjoying the following activities: -

  • Maths – Line graphs.
  • English – Instructions.  
  • French – Looking at music.
  • Jigsaw – Celebrating differences.
  • P.E – Basketball
  • Music and ICT
  • Science – Observing differences involving height as we develop.
  • Geography – A local redevelopment (Redrow housing).

Again, another amazing week we have had. We were extremely impressed with the children’s work. The children enjoyed their writing this week, culminating in 'How to catch a Teacher!' 

We cannot wait until next week where we will be enjoying the following lessons:

  • Maths – Reading and interpreting tables  
  • English – Instructions.  
  • R.E – Is the Christmas story true?
  • Art – Designing rockets based on the art work of Peter Thorpe
  • P.E – Basketball
  • Music and ICT
  • Science – Observing differences involving mass as we develop and drawing line graphs
  • Geography – A local redevelopment (Redrow housing) – writing a letter

Please ensure that you listen to your child read at least 3 times a week.

Please make sure that your child brings in their reading book and record card every day.

Remember to use your Mathletics account and have fun with maths!!!
