We have had a very busy week in Year1!

This week we have been learning:

Maths - We have been partitioning numbers and looking at greater than and less than.

English - We have continued to explore the book 'Traction Man'. We have been focussing on capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. We have been looking at verbs and talked about the suffix 'ed'.

Science - We explored our sense of hearing. .

History - We welcomed our Grandparents into school to talk about their childhood. It was very interesting!

In addition to this we have been continuing to count forwards and backwards from a given number. We will continue to practise this.

Next week we will be:

Maths - We will continue to look at inequality symbols.

English - We will be creating our own scenarios based on Traction Man

Science - Exploring our sense of touch.

Computing - Creating algorithms for our Beebot.

History - We will be playing a range of games that our Grandparents told us about.

Have a wonderful weekend and do not forget to look over your spellings.
